The Journey

My journey began with a curiosity for making money online, which led me to Blogger. After monetizing my first blog with AdSense, I was hooked. I immersed myself in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, mastering theme customization, speed optimization, and building my own themes from scratch.

As my skills grew, I expanded into WordPress for ultimate scalability and Shopify to master e-commerce. Today, I possess a deep, comprehensive knowledge of these three platforms.

Why Every Developer Should Embrace CSS Grid

Why Every Developer Should Embrace CSS Grid

Abstract digital grid lines

For years, web developers struggled with floats, tables, and hacky absolute positioning to create complex website layouts. Then came Flexbox, which revolutionized one-dimensional layouts. But if you're still trying to force Flexbox into doing heavy, two-dimensional lifting, it's time to upgrade your toolkit to CSS Grid.

Flexbox vs. Grid: The Quick Breakdown

While Flexbox is content-first (aligning elements along a single horizontal or vertical axis), CSS Grid is layout-first. It allows you to define rows and columns simultaneously, giving you total control over alignment, grid gaps, and responsive behavior with drastically less code.

If you haven't dove into layout templates using grid-template-areas yet, you're missing out on one of the most satisfying frontend features ever built. Stop fighting your margins and start embracing the grid.

The Glorification of "Busy": Why Doing Less Might Be Your Next Power Move

We’ve all been there. Someone asks how you’re doing, and before you even think, the default answer pops out: “Good! Just so busy.”

Somewhere along the line, we collectively agreed that having a calendar packed tighter than a suitcase on the way back from vacation is a badge of honor. If you aren’t constantly redlining, are you even trying?

But let’s be real for a second: there is a massive difference between being productive and just being loud with your time.

The Hustle Culture Trap

Hustle culture sold us a beautiful lie: if you grind 24/7, success is guaranteed. What they forgot to mention in the fine print is that constant grinding eventually turns you into dust.

When we glorify "busy," we start prioritizing the wrong things. We mistake motion for progress. You can run on a treadmill for hours, but you're still in the same room.

"Busyness is a deficit of intentionality. It means you're letting your schedule control you, rather than you controlling your schedule."

When your brain is perpetually overwhelmed, your creativity takes a hit, your decision-making gets sloppy, and that burnout you’ve been outrunning finally catches up.

The Power of Strategic "Slacking"

The most successful people don’t work themselves to the bone; they protect their time fiercely. Doing less isn’t about being lazy—it’s about ruthless prioritization. It’s deciding what actually moves the needle and letting the rest go.

When you deliberately slow down, you give your mind the white space it needs to solve complex problems. Some of history's best ideas didn't happen in front of a spreadsheet; they happened during walks, in the shower, or while staring blankly at a wall.

How to Reclaim Your Time (Starting Today)

If you’re ready to drop the "busy" act and actually start achieving more by doing less, here is your game plan:

  • Audit Your "Yeses": Before agreeing to another meeting, project, or social obligation, ask yourself: Does this align with my current goals, or am I just saying yes to avoid saying no?

  • Embrace the "Do Nothing" Block: Schedule 30 minutes on your calendar every day for absolutely nothing. No emails, no podcasts, no scrolling. Just let your brain breathe.

  • Focus on the Vital Few: Apply the 80/20 rule. Identify the 20% of your efforts that produce 80% of your results, and pour your energy there.

  • Disconnect Digitally: Set a hard boundary for when the screens go off. The world will not collapse if you answer that email at 9:00 AM tomorrow instead of 11:30 PM tonight.

Shift Your Mindset

Next time someone asks how you are, challenge yourself not to use the word "busy." Try "focused," "good," or even "resting."

Let's stop bragging about how tired we are and start celebrating how present we are. After all, life is too short to spend it rushing through it.
